Soror Chavis of the Rho Epsilon chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, inc. at LSU, will be representing the Gulf Coast Region of Phi Beta Sigma! She earned the title of Miss Phi Beta Sigma-Iota Tau then Miss Gulf Coast Region with her diligence, talent, leadership and undying passion for social activism.


Specifying inter-sectional feminism and afrocentricity, Soror Chavis has coordinated countless events such as LSU’s annual “Black Girls Rock” celebration, “Don’t Touch My Hair: Natural Hair Art Showcase and forum” and “The 2016 Election: The unapologetic Conversation”. She has been an avid leader, mentor and activist within LSU and the Baton Rouge Community.
